FOR SALE: Dubbed by some as the true last "Widowmaker" - a nickname its predecessor the 996 GT2 carried as well due to its extremely unforgiving nature - this 2009 Porsche 911 GT2 997.2 is equally a thrilling yet challenging car to handle. With a limited production run of approximately 1077 units, the 997.2 quite rare, and came with reduced equipment to save weight: there were no rear seats, no all-wheel-drive, and reduced insulation.

The 997 GT2 also had a few firsts: it was the first production sports car from Porsche to feature a Launch Assistant (launch control) which maximizes acceleration from a standing start; and was the first Porsche to use carbon-ceramic composite brakes as standard equipment which reduced unsprung weight in the car by nearly 20 kg.
