Did you know the M4 GTS was the first production road car to be fitted with an innovative water injection system? This system sprays a fine mist of water into the intake manifold, reducing combustion temperatures and allowing for more aggressive tuning, which, in turn, enhances performance.
The M4 GTS also weighs 30kg less than the standard M4, thanks to the removal of its rear seats and the extensive use of lightweight materials such as carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) in its construction, which coupled with the uprated engine (an increase of 68hp from stock) rockets the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds to a top speed of 306 km/h.
With an original planned production run of 700 cars available only in select markets at launch, 803 customer cars eventually rolled off the factory line which still makes the BMW M4 GTS an incredibly rare and desirable car.
